Pollutant emission characterisitcs of crop straws during opening burning
On a self-designed open burning experiment platform in laboratory scale
the emission factors of particulate matter(PM) and gaseous pollutants from three types of crop straws(wheat
rice and corn) were detected
in flaming and smoldering combustion states with different water contents. The results show that
during flaming combustion
the emission factors of the total solid particles(TSP) of the wheat
rice and corn were 11.36~18.00
9.20~13.76 and 8.94~15.19
and that of the CO were 43.55~61.57 g/kg
50.36~79.24 g/kg and 58.51~70.05 g/kg
respectively. While that during smoldering combustion were 28.68~48.05
34.85~46.32 and 36.44~51.38 for TSP and 80.72~114.92 g/kg
86.86~108.79 g/kg and 79.73~98.20 g/kg for CO. It was demonstrated that fine PM dominated the total PM from the straw's open burning
and the proportion of PM2.5 to the TSP ranged from 58.72% to 83.07%. Water content were found to be negatively correlated with the emission factors of the PM and CO.
