Optimization of the mode of outlet conditions for opposed spiral firing burners
there are two methods to realize numerical simulation of combustion in swirl opposed boiler. One is simplifying the burner as a short cylinder and setting a certain swirl intensity artificially. The other is taking all burners and the furnace as a whole to carry out simulation. Advantages and disadvantages of the above two methods were summarized in this paper
and a new method of "subsection modeling and no difference transition" was put forward. In this method
the regulated simulation results for outlet conditions of a single burner are taken as the entrance conditions for the whole furnace simulation
and the no difference transition between the two objects is realized by custom editing the "boundary profile" in ANSYS Fluent software
It solves three main difficult problems for the conventional methods in transition from a single burner to the whole furnace
which is the transition of velocity
the transition of left and right rotation and the transition of the pulverized coal concentration. Moreover
comparison between the new method and the two conventional methods were carried out through cold state simulation
and the new method was used to simulate the full size furnace in hot state. The results show that
the new method can not only ensure the burner do not lose detail characteristics
but also greatly reduce the number of the furnace grid
so that the accuracy of the calculation is ensured.
