The technology of pulse arc electrohydraulic discharge(PAED) is a kind of pulse plasma discharge which can generate fluid cavitation effect and high intensity pressure shock wave under the effects of high voltage and high current. Combining the propagation characteristics of the pressure shock wave and the pulse energy conversion efficiency
we experimentally studied pulse arc electrohydraulic discharge in different positions of U primary processing pool in sewage plant. The pressure wave signal of different discharge parameters were detected by pressure sensor. The peak voltage and discharge energy could affect the pressure shock wave. Experimental results show that
with the increase of discharge voltage and discharge energy
the peak value of pressure wave will increase rapidly. Under the influences of bubble disturbance and fluid viscous force
the intensity of pressure wave will attenuate with the increase of propagation distance. And the degree of attenuation along the flow direction is far lower than that perpendicular to the flow direction.
