Aging Properties of Composite Material Pole and Its Materials Under Multi-factor Environment
In order to explore the aging properties resistant to environmental for the composite material applied in power
on the basis of the multi-factor experimental box
we simulated the operating natural environment of the composite poles
observed the changes of material modulus and fiber bragg grating(FBG) strain on the surface of composite material poles and cross-arms under accelerated aging conditions
and analyzed the aging properties of polyurethane(PU)/glass fiber composite material and corresponding composite material poles. After 4 000 h multi-factor accelerated aging test
the retention flexural modulus of PU and PU composite materials were higher than 90%; especially for the samples under pultrusion process
its flexural modulus was up to 95.8% of the intrinsic modulus. The FBG strains of PU composite poles and cross-arms products located on maximum displacement were less than 2 ‰
and the strain of poles was lower than that of the cross-arms. The results show that PU composite pole and cross-arm can keep good resistance to environmental aging.
