Charge Estimation and Impact Analysis of Moving Metal Particle Under DC Electric Field
Metal particle movement and its distribution in gas insulated metal-enclosed switchgear(GIS) are the key to develop control technology. Consequently
some experiments and simulation research were carried out. According to metal particle movement experiment
the collision recovery coefficient was got and the charge on particle was deduced. A particle movement model was established after taking the particle charge and its collision process into consideration
and the experimental results showed that both had good consistency. According to the research
the relationship between particle size
material
and collision characteristics was got. The results show that
under DC voltage
the metal particle collision frequency decreases with the increase of particle size when the material of the particles is the same. The particle moving time upward to high voltage electrode is different from that downward to the ground electrode and time difference of the two increases with the size increase. When the particle material is different
the collision characteristics are influenced by its density and collision coefficient of restitution. Particle motion velocity loses less before and after the collision when its collision coefficient of restitution is larger. So the collision frequency is higher. Research results can offer some reference values to particles suppression measures in GIS.
