To study the broadband nonlinearity of the mechanical transmission mechanism of a UHV circuit breaker under impact load
we established a finite element model of the mechanical transmission mechanism of the circuit breaker with the consideration of collision and structural flexibility
and used the ABAQUS dynamic explicit integral method to solve the problem. Moreover
we studied the transmission efficiency optimization by changing the structural parameters of the transmission mechanism
and combined experimental verification. The study shows that
by considering the structural flexibility
the result error between simulation and experiment is less than 5%. The stress of mechanism exhibits high frequency fluctuation characteristics with 568.3 MPa maximum stress. As the instantaneous speed of mechanism increases
the vibration of rod from moving contact will get more intense. By properly adjusting the structural parameters of mechanism
the transmission efficiency will increase from 79.45% to 85.65%
and the better vibration characteristic is obtained.
