Abstract
To study the effect of different content of carboxylic acid on the aging rate of transformer insulation paper
we studied the influence of carboxylic acid content on insulating paper aging. Firstly
the accelerated thermal aging experiments were conducted on the insulating paper. Then
the degree of polymerization(DP) of the insulating paper λDP was continuously measured during the experiments. Finally
a second-order kinetic model was applied to analyze the experimental data and a conclusion was reached. The results show that the unionized carboxylic acid does not depolymerize the cellulose
and the H+ ionized by the carboxylic acid has a strong catalytic effect on cellulose hydrolysis. When the insulating paper is in a dry state(water content w≤0.5%)
the carboxylic acid ionization is inhibited and the content of ionized H+ is low
which has no obvious catalytic effect on the cellulose hydrolysis reaction. The influence of moisture content and acid value on the parameters of the second-order kinetic model is obtained
and the oil-paper insulation aging evaluation model system is further improved.
