Dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) is one of the most important methods to obtain non-equilibrium plasma at atmospheric pressure. Atmospheric pressure DBD is usually composed of a large amount of micro discharge
so the formation and development of micro discharge as well as the distribution and interaction of micro discharge have a crucial impact on the overall performance of atmospheric pressure DBD. We used micro streamer discharge mode as the research object
and adopted CCD high speed microscopic image and Maxwell numerical simulationto research the effect of applied electric field distribution on streamer in DBD at atmospheric pressure air. The result shows that:(1)In the needle-plate dielectric barrier discharge
deposited charge on the surface of the dielectric layer is influenced by excitation field
and lead to the deflection of micro streamer near the dielectric layer.(2)Excitation field and micro streamer interaction will lead to deflection in the process of development
and deflection distance is directly proportional to the distance between needle and plate
the electric field intensity
and the reciprocal of squared distance between needle and needle.(3)In the double needle-plate dielectric barrier discharge
micro streamer undergoes several processes such as initial angle deflection
