Internet of Things Technology Application and Prospects in Distribution Transformer Service Area Management
Traditional distribution transformer service area management is facing ever increasing challenges in aspects as numerous devices
weak communication infrastructure and service upgrade is heavily depended on equipment manufacturers. With the new value opportunities brought by the internet of things
this paper proposes a new way of distribution transformer service area management within a more standard architecture
which can achieve specific functions in a more flexible way. Firstly
this paper sorts out the problems existing in the traditional distribution service area management.Based on internet of things
related design concept
key technologies and collaborative operation approach are proposed.To demonstrate its real world applications
two practical implementation examples are presented with one for plug and play installation of low-voltage equipment
and another as electric vehicle charging pile management. Finally
the prospects of the distribution transformer service area management based on the internet of things technologies are presented.
