Approach for Fast Calculating Radiation Field Leaking from Basin-type Insulator of GIS Under Switcher Operation Using Vector Recursive Convolution
For fast calculation of electromagnetic field leaking from the basin-type insulator of gas insulated substation(GIS) during very fast transient process
the calculation process is divided into circuit model calculation and electromagnetic field model calculation. In the circuit model calculation
a non-linear circuits model of GIS is established based on transmission line theory and non-linear arc characteristics
which can be used to calculate very fast transient currents(VFTC
namely
source of radiation). In the electromagnetic field model calculation
a finite element model is established for the radiation from the basin-type insulator and used to calculate the impulse responses. After the vector recursive convolution being applied
VFTC and impulse responses can be used to simultaneously calculate the radiation field in many points under the switcher operation. When there are more than one VFTC resource
compared to multiple calculation by the finite element method
the approach in this paper can be adopted to simultaneously get electromagnetic fields at many points only through a finite element calculation
and thus can remarkably quicken the calculated speed. The results comparison with different methods in the references and calculation results of the radiation field in 1 000 kV GIS show that electromagnetic field of multiple filed points leaking from the basin-type insulator of GIS under certain VFTC can be acquired fast and accurately through using the approach in this paper.
