Numerical Simulation Research and Applications of Electromagnetic Multiphysical Field for Electrical Equipment
multiple physical fields will generate in and near electrical equipment
such as electromagnetic field
temperature field
fluid field
and stress field
etc. These fields will militate against the dielectric medium
the magnetic medium and the conductor
which are three main types of materials constituting the electrical equipment. For example
they will make an insulating material deteriorated gradually due to the effects of electricity
heat and stress
saturate the permeability magnetic material and lead to harmonic generation
and cause relative movements between conductors in motor equipment
thus to complete electromechanical energy conversion. These physical fields(electromagnetic
temperature
fluid
stress
motion and insulation) are coupled and interact with each other to construct complex multiphysical coupling fields. Firstly
this paper briefly reviews the contributions made by the field of electrical engineering in China to the development of computational electromagnetism
and points out that electromagnetic multiphysical field analysis plays a role through the whole life process of material development
design and manufacture
operation
and maintenance of electrical equipment. It is the "hard core" that determines the economy and reliability of electrical equipment. Then
several key technologies in coupled numerical calculation of electromagnetic multiphysical fields and moving eddy current field in electrical equipment are introduced respectively. This paper specially points out that the discharge voltage calculation or prediction of insulating materials is an important component of electromagnetic multiphysical field simulation and needs to be strengthened. Further
based on the development demands of intelligent operation and maintenance of electrical equipment
this paper introduces the latest achievements in applications of electromagnetic multiphysical field analysis for intelligent inversion detection of hot spot temperature rise and material parameters of electrical equipment. Finally
an idea is proposed to develop an independent software platform for electromagnetic multiphysical field analysis of electrical equipment.
