Influence of SDBD Reduced Electric Field on the Evolution of Plasma Species Using High-frequency AC Actuation
To reveal the influence of actuation power parameters on the reduced electric field and plasma species concentration using high-frequency AC SDBD actuators
firstly
the distribution of reduced electric field is simulated based on its governing equations and boundary conditions. Then
the plasma kinetic model is adopted to perform the numerical simulation of time revolution process in plasma particles with various parameters of electric field. The results show that the high reduced electric field is mainly located between exposed electrode and grounded electrode
and then rapidly attenuates as moving toward outside. As the actuation peak voltage increases
the reduced electric field at the same point will increase linearly
and it varies periodically with a short delaying time under AC actuation mode where the actuation frequency strongly affects its amplitude. Meanwhile
compared with the actuation frequency
the actuation voltage has much stronger effects on plasma species concentration. Specifically
with the variation of actuation frequency and the constant of reduced electric field
the O atom concentration increases slowly
and the increasement of 3.7% is obtained in the range of 1~30 kHz. When the influence of reduced electric field is taken into consideration
the O atom shows a significant inverted U-shaped trend with the highest concentration at 7 kHz
