High-penetration renewable energy and special grid structure have brought challenges to the economic operation of AC/DC hybrid microgrids. Aiming at this issue
a multi-time scale stochastic optimal dispatch for AC/DC hybrid microgrid incorporating multi-scenario analysis is proposed in this paper. In the day-ahead dispatch stage
the time-of-use electricity price
operation costs and characteristics of distributed units
and bidirectional AC/DC converter are comprehensively considered. The multi-scenario analysis technique is adopted to simulate the uncertainty of wind power
photovoltaic power
and AC/DC loads. The two-stage stochastic optimal dispatch model is put forward to minimize the daily operation cost. In the intraday dispatch stage
an intraday rolling optimal dispatch model is developed based on the model predictive control. By combining the rolling optimization with feedback compensation
the closed-loop optimization is developed. On this basis
the effectiveness of the day-ahead schedules is effectively guaranteed. Meanwhile
the model can effectively suppress the intraday power fluctuations induced by day-ahead forecast errors and avoid affecting the main grid operation. Case studies are conducted based on an AC/DC hybrid microgrid demonstration project. The simulation results show that the proposed strategy can effectively cope with the impact of multiple uncertainties in the AC/DC hybrid microgrid
