Protection Effectiveness of Multiple Corrosive Sulfurs on Transformer Oil and Their Effect on Oil Quality
Current study of passivator protection is mainly focused on single type of sulfur. In this paper
the different protective effects of different passivators and the influence of passivators on oil quality under the condition of multiple corrosive sulfur were discussed. The running oil stemming from the substation in Shuikou Fujian
which contains various corrosive sulfides
was applied to the accelerated aging tests under the premise of 150 ℃. The passivator effectiveness of TTA
Irgamet 39
and T571 in coexistence of various corrosive sulfurs was verified. Moreover
the optimum concentration of three passivators was obtained. In additi
on
the breakdown voltage
dielectric loss factor
volume resistivity and moisture content with the new oil and the running oil were measured. Results show that the protection effectiveness of TTA is the best among the three passivators
and the copper plate can be well protected by erosion at 50×10
-6
. The others can not completely protect the copper even if the concentration reaches 200×10
-6
which can only delay the erosion of copper plate. The influence of addition of Irgamet 39 on the breakdown voltage
dielectric loss factor
volume resistivity and oil moisture is least
followed by T571 and TTA. Being difficult to dissolve in the oil
TTA has a great impact on the oil quality even after being fully mixed. After the influences of passivators on the oil quality and the economics are taken into consideration
it is recommended to add 100×10
-6
concentration of T571 into the transformer oil after some operation time to prevent the corrosive sulfur problem.
