Voltage Regulation Control Strategy for DC Microgrid with Photovoltaic Participation
Most grid-connected converters for the photovoltaic(PV) in the DC microgrid operate under the control of maximum power point tracking mode
thus neither flexible power control nor participation in the voltage regulation can be realized for the microgrid. To solve this problem
a control strategy for DC voltage regulation with PV is proposed to ensure the PV to have the capability of regulating voltage in the absence of extra energy storage and hardware circuit change. Firstly
a de-loading control for PV system using master PV arrays to track maximum power point is introduced. Secondly
based on the characteristics that the inertia of DC microgrid is low and voltage regulation ability of photovoltaic systems under different illumination conditions is different
a virtual-inertia control and an adaptive droop control are proposed to improve the anti-interference ability in DC voltage and achieve rational power allocation among PV arrays. Finally
a simulation model is established on PSCAD/EMTDC to verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy. The simulation results show that
under the proposed control strategy
the grid-connected converters for the PV can participate in the DC voltage regulation according to illumination condition.
