Damping to Electromechanical Oscillation Modes in DFIG-integrated System Based on Sensitivity of Electromechanical Loop Participation Ratio
The electromechanical oscillation modes(EOMs) are the oscillations closely related to the mechanical transient of the synchronous generators(SGs)
with severe impact on the shafts of SGs and system stability. The SG’s output can be adjusted to reduce the electromechanical loop participation ratio(ρ) to damp the EOM
wheras it depends on the sensitivity modelto be derived. With the doubly-fed induction generators(DFIGs) integrated
the SGs and DFIGs are included in the state matrix
thus the difficulty of damping the EOMs also increases. In this paper
the EOMs of the DFIG-integrated power system are derived. The sensitivities of ρ to the control parameters are given by the sensitivities of the participation factors. The participation factor is composed of the eigenvectors
thus the constraints of the magnitude and angle of the latter are supplemented to find the unique sensitivity of the eigenvector. The SGs’ outputs affect the bus voltage and the eigenvalues
but are not shown in the state matrix. Hence the inverse of the Jacobian matrix of power flow solution is applied to derive the sensitivities of the eigenvalues and eigenvectors to the SG’s output. The analytical sensitivity model of ρ to the outputs of the SGs is finally proposed. After adjusting the SGs’ output
the ρ of the serious EOM 19
20 decreases by about 13%
which verifies the damping effect of the proposed method on EOM.
