Abstract:
To fully exploit the operational flexibility of the multi-region integrated energy system(IES), this paper investigates the modeling of flexible resources and the coordinated scheduling of the multi-region systems. First, the paper divides the flexible resources in the regional IES into the fixed and movable resources and characterizes the corresponding flexible characteristics mathematically. Second, the operational properties of different equipment, the energy transmission properties of multi-energy networks, and various operational costs are modeled in sequence. The coordinated scheduling model considering resource flexibility in the multi-region IES is further constructed. Finally, the simulation comparisons among three types of example models demonstrate the effective role of various types of flexible resources and their mobility characteristics in improving the system’s operational economy and energy supply quality, further exploring the coordination and complementary capabilities of multiple IESs.
