Abstract: Based on the characteristics of local network resources and the trial operation of the power spot market, Shanxi continues to explore the construction of the power market. At present, it has initially established a market system of "medium and long-term market + long-period unit combination + electric spot energy market (integrated Load and Renewables Following market) + frequency modulation ancillary services market ", which further improves the ability to allocate resources in the power spot market. This paper first analyzes the progress of the construction of the power spot market in Shanxi province, and then focuses on the analysis of the structure design and characteristics of the current power spot market of "long-period unit portfolio + power market (integrated peak shaving market)" in Shanxi. Accordingly, the organization process of Shanxi current electricity market system is put forward. Finally, the relevant policy recommendations for the construction of Shanxi spot market are summarized, providing a reference areas with similar characteristics and difficulties.
