Abstract:
With the continuous operation of UHVDC transmission projects, the problem of high / low voltage and the frequent actions of the AC filters and converter transformer taps near the HVDC area have attracted wide attention. How to coordinate the voltage and reactive power controlling behavior of the AC / DC equipment to improve the system voltage safety and the action life of the DC voltage regulating equipment has become a key problem to be solved for the AVC strategy in the AC / DC hybrid power system. On the basis of fully considering the relatively independent controlling characteristics of the DC system operating mode, and taking the use of AC system control means to improve the action frequency of discrete equipment in the DC converter station as the leading idea, this paper proposes a method of coordinated secondary voltage control considering additional action requirements of the LCC-HVDC equipment. The new model has the following features: 1) The safe operation constraints of the control angle and the dead zone constraints of the AC filters for the reactive power control are added. The sensitivity quantitative relationship is derived based on the power flow equation of AC / DC system considering the voltage and reactive power characteristics of the converters. Therefore the risks of additional switching of the AC filters and converter transformer taps are effectively reduced. 2) Taking the converter bus as an additional central node and introducing its voltage deviation as the control objective, the steady-state control level of the converter bus voltage is improved and the voltage safety of the AC / DC hybrid system is enhanced. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the simulation of the IEEE 39 bus correction system.
