Abstract:
The large-scale wind power collection system has complex grid structures, a large number of wind turbines, and diverse control systems. It may not only dynamically interact with the series compensation devices, the DC transmission, the weak AC lines, and the synchronous generators of the external power grid, but also exist internal dynamic interactions between wind turbine groups or between different control systems of wind turbines. The in-depth exploration of the generation mechanism, oscillation characteristics, and influencing factors of its small disturbance oscillation are essential to the safe and stable operation of the power system. This paper reviews wind power from two aspects: the small disturbance oscillation caused by the dynamic interaction between the large-scale wind power collection system and the external grid, and the small disturbance oscillation inside the large-scale wind power collection system. The history and main results of the small disturbance stability research of the collection system are reviewed, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the current main research methods. The future research directions in the field of small-disturbance stability of large-scale wind power collection system are discussed and proposed.
