Abstract:
In this paper, a method for measuring the transient characteristics of transmission line towers under artificial impacts is presented. The method lays out a current-sharing zone around the tower, which can simulate the actual distribution of lightning currents in the earth. At the same time, the effects of the number of the metal rods, the voltage and current leads, and the current band on the voltage signals are studied. Finally, the measurement results are compared with the simulation results, which proves that the measurement method is accurate and feasible.
