Abstract: 5G empowers thousands of industries, empowering equipments, enterprises, and industries in higher value vertical industry application scenarios. From the perspective of the power industry, it is highly compatible with the characteristics of 5G communication in terms of communication demand. This paper is based on the differentiated communication requirements of power business and conducts research on typical 5G networking solutions. It mainly focuses on the current development status of 5G networks, analysis of power 5G business models, key 5G technologies supporting power business communication indicators, analysis of 5G compatibility with power business, and analysis of the virtual private network architecture and networking solutions for power 5G. Further this scheme ensures the scientific and efficient application of 5G in power scenarios, and supports the company's large-scale application of 5G.
