Soft Switching Modulation Strategy of Dual Active Bridge Converters Applied in Renewable Energy Systems

摘要: 双有源桥(DAB)直流变换器是理想的大功率双向DC/DC变换器,是电能路由器系统与储能单元实现能量双向传输的核心装置。为实现变换器软开关以达到改善开关器件工作条件和提升功率传输效率,文中分析了采用三重移相(TPS)调制的工作原理。通过分析TPS调制方法下DAB变换器的开关模式及工作波形,得到变换器实现软开关的条件,并与已有的电感电流有效值最优化控制算法结合,提出了一种全功率范围内实现全部器件软开关的调制策略。最后搭建实验平台进行验证,实验结果证明了所提出调制策略的有效性。Abstract: Dual active bridge(DAB) converter is an ideal high-power bidirectional DC/DC converter and a key equipment for bidirectional energy transmission between energy router system and energy storage units. In order to achieve the soft switching of converter and to improve the working conditions of switching device and power transmission efficiency, this paper analyzes the operation principle of triple phase shift(TPS) modulation for DAB converter. By analyzing the switching modes and opearation waveforms of DAB converter under TPS modulation method, the condition of soft switching of converter is obtained. By combining with the existing optimization control algorithm of inductor current RMS, a modulation strategy for implementing soft switching of all devices in full power range is proposed. Finally, a prototype of DAB is built, and the experimental results verify the validity of the theoretical analysis and the effectiveness of proposed modulation scheme.
