Voltage Stability Assessment of a Hybrid Power System with FACTS Devices

  • 摘要: 现代电力系统包含大量柔性交流输电系统(FACTS)元件,研究其电压稳定评估方法具有重要意义。以静止同步并联无功补偿器(STATCOM)和静止同步串联无功补偿器(SSSC)的电源—阻抗模型为基础,建立了含STATCOM和SSSC的混合电力系统潮流模型,并在极坐标牛顿法潮流的基础上结合交替求解法来求解。为考虑STATCOM和SSSC的各种限值约束,采用了双向切换逻辑。在此基础上,提出含FACTS的电力系统连续潮流算法,以计算负荷裕度和稳定临界点,给出了识别由STATCOM和SSSC容量越限而导致的极限诱导型分岔点的方法。对IEEE 30节点和IEEE 118节点2个测试算例的计算结果验证了所述方法的有效性。

     

    Abstract: Flexible AC transmission system(FACTS) devices such as static synchronous compensator(STATCOM) and static synchronous serious compensator(SSSC) have been used in real power grids.The voltage stability assessment of a hybrid power system with FACTS is important.Based on the source-impedance models of STATCOM and SSSC,the load flow model of a power system with STATCOM and SSSC is developed.The alterative-iteration method embedded into Newton power flow method is used to solve this problem.A double switching logic is proposed for handling the operation constraints of STATCOM and SSSC.A continuation power flow method considering FACTS is presented for calculating the load margins and voltage stability critical points.An identification scheme of saddle node bifurcation point(SNBP) and limit induced bifurcation point(LIBP) induced by the operation limits of STATCOM and SSSC is also given.The numerical results on IEEE 30-bus and IEEE 118-bus test systems show that the method proposed is efficient and suitable for voltage stability assessment of power systems with FACTS devices.
