A Method of Determining Steady-state Power Operation Range for Modular Multilevel Converter

  • 摘要: 为了确定模块化多电平换流器(MMC)的稳态运行范围,首先研究了MMC额定运行点的确定方法,介绍了换流变压器阀侧额定电压的选取过程。在此基础上,通过相量图分析的方法,建立了换流器P-Q图与电气相量图间的映射关系,直观地揭示了各个电气量的大小与MMC稳态功率运行范围的关系。分析了内部电动势幅值和相角的可行范围,指出内部电动势的幅值大小是限制MMC无功功率输出大小的主要因素。最后通过一个算例说明了MMC稳态功率运行范围的确定与校验过程。

     

    Abstract: In order to determine the steady-state operation range of the modular multilevel converter( MMC), the determining method of the rated operating point of MMC is studied. The process of designing the converter transformer second-side voltage is described.Based on an analysis of the phasor diagram, the relationship between the electrical phasor diagram and the power capability curve of MMC is explained. And the relationship between the magnitude of the electrical quantity and the steady-state power operation range of MMC is intuitively revealed. The possible ranges of the inner electromotive force and phase angle are analyzed, since they are the dominating factors to determine the reactive power limits. The calculation and verification processes of determining the active and reactive power ranges are displayed by an actual case study.
