A Control Strategy for Modular Multilevel Converter Based HVDC Flexible Systems Under System Faults and Its Verification

  • 摘要: 介绍了基于模块化多电平换流器(MMC)的柔性直流输电系统在网侧出现不平衡运行状态下的故障控制策略,对比了各种控制方式的优劣。在分析和推导MMC数学模型的基础上,提出了一种基于故障负序电压叠加的故障控制方法。利用离线仿真工具对该方法进行了仿真研究,并在实际工程中对该方法进行了实验验证,给出了仿真和工程试验结果。采用不同控制策略时的仿真结果比较以及仿真与工程实验结果对比表明,采用所提出的故障控制策略对提高柔性直流输电系统在发生网侧故障时的持续运行能力有所帮助。

     

    Abstract: Fault control strategies for the modular multilevel converter(MMC) based HVDC Flexible transmission system under unbalanced network conditions are described,and the advantages and shortages of various control designs are compared.A fault control method based on fault negative sequence voltage overlap is proposed according to the analysis and derivation of the MMC mathematical model.This method is simulated with off-line simulation tools and verified with tests in an actual project,and the results of the simulations and the engineering test are presented.The result comparison of simulations using different control strategies and the engineering test results show that the proposed control strategy is helpful for uninterrupted operation of the modular multilevel converter based HVDC Flexible system under system faults.
