Abstract: Bulk scale wind power integration into the grid will breed new problems and challenges to power system operation and security.Based on the analysis of the wind power developmental characteristics in China and the experience of western countries,the paper summarizes the key factors which impact on wind power integration,including system regulation capability,transmission capability,technical performance of wind power,wind power dispatch levels,etc.Then some measures are proposed to improve wind power integration in China,such as reinforcement of peaking power and grid construction,breakthrough in key technologies of wind power integration and operation,and improvement of supporting policies and measures for wind power development.
