Abstract: Research on international electricity market development tendency and rules is of great reference significance for promoting China’s electricity market reform.First,the basic market-construction modes for international electricity market by introducing competition into both production and consumption are elaborated.Second,the latest development trends of international electricity market are analyzed from the following aspects:objective change of market construction,range extension of electricity market,stimulation reinforcement on electricity infrastructure investment, market mechanism improvement for renewable energy sources,potential mining of demand side resources,reinforcement of market supervision and so on.Finally,some related suggestions are proposed concerning the construction and development demands of China’s electricity market.
