Systematic Control Strategies for ±200 Mvar Cascaded STATCOM in China Southern Power Grid

  • 摘要: 在当前受端负荷中心缺乏电源支持、负荷高度集中的情况下,大容量静止同步补偿器(STATCOM)对于增加受端负荷母线动态无功支撑、提高电压稳定性具有重要意义。文中提出了一种大容量STATCOM的系统控制策略,设计了与变电站内固定电容器组配合的稳态调压控制策略、具有非线性增益的暂态电压控制策略,以及线路功率反馈的附加阻尼控制策略。此外,根据电压检测、电网故障判断、站内并联补偿状态等信息优化选取STATCOM运行模式,将多种控制功能有机协调。数字仿真试验和实际故障录波结果验证了文中所设计系统控制策略的合理性。所提出的控制策略已应用于南方电网±200Mvar链式STATCOM工程中。

     

    Abstract: In the current circumstances of receiving-end load center lacking power resource support while bearing highly centralized load,the large-capacity static synchronous compensator(STATCOM) is of great significance for increasing dynamic reactive power and improving transient voltage stability.The systematic control strategies for large-capacity STATCOM are proposed.The three control strategies,including static voltage control strategy of coordinating the fixed capacitor bank in the substation,transient voltage control strategy with nonlinear gain,and additional damping control strategy using line power as feedback,are designed.Furthermore,the optimal selection of different control functions according to voltage detection,power grid fault judgment,and shunt compensation status are discussed,and the organic coordination of various control functions is also illustrated.Digital simulation and field records verify the feasibility of the proposed systematic control strategies.The strategies proposed have been applied to ±200 Mvar cascaded STATCOM in China southern power grid.
