Abstract: This paper standardizes the terminologies of the supply capability for distribution networks based on literature review.Firstly, the origin, development and current situation of researches related to supply capability are presented and analyzed.Secondly, it is found that the terminologies and definitions of supply capability are not unified, so the suggestions on standardization and unification are given. The same terminology with different definitions, different terminologies with the same or similar definitions are classified as confusing terminologies. The confusing terminologies are contrasted and analyzed, and the unified and standardized Chinese and English names, symbols and definitions are given. The unified terminologies can well cover and explain the existing literature, which provides the standard for future research. Finally, the future research trends are prospected.
