Abstract:
Operating characteristics and fault characteristics of microgrid obviously differ with traditional power grid,it brings a challenge to microgrid protection.A technology for fast and accurate fault location and isolation of microgrid based on GOOSE communication is proposed.Dividing the microgrid into regions and choosing any node as a center,the technology completes fault location by using the direction and overcurrent information from adjacent devices with the GOOSE communication,and realizes fault isolation by communicating GOOSE tripping signals.In the paper,microgrid characteristics on operation,fault,fault location and isolation,project implementation and verification,etc,are expounded.Currently,this technology has been used in many engineering projects,which verify the correctness and feasibility of it.It can deal with the microgrid multi sources,multi structures,multiple operation modes(closed loop,open loop,grid-connected and islanded mode,etc)and the topology changes,and can solve the microgrid fault location and isolation quickly and accurately.
