Abstract: Load forecasting is the basis of energy-saving and economic dispatching of the power grid,while effective forecasting of large user load is the key factor to improve the load forecasting accuracy of the whole power grid. Taking the typical emerging regional future load forecasting as an example, data differences are comprehensively compared between the conventional load forecasting results and some large users’ capacity reported, and the statistical analysis are made on the expected new large user loads with load prediction calibration corrections so as to develop large user power supply strategies, which not only improves the accuracy of the regional load forecasting, but also provides a strong support for power grid planning, safe and economic operation and so on.
