Abstract: An explosion of electric energy meter occurred at the arrival acceptance for the verification organization of a certain power enterprise is described. Combined with the onsite investigation and the inspection of the cover opening components and circuit boards of the same batch of electric energy meters, the fault causes are confirmed and treatment measures are given. Finally, the suggestions are offered to prevent such problems in terms of circuit structure improvement and component selection.
