Abstract: In allusion to a series of difficulties in the replacement of inverted-V suspension insulator strings on transmission lines, it is proposed to use a combination of engineered motorized winches, high-strength Dinima ropes and fixed point limit transmission devices to replace traditional tool equipment in order to quickly,efficiently, and safely complete the replacement operations, which achieves lightweight replacement tools and simplified operation methods, effectively avoids the drawbacks of disassembly and installation operations in the traditional replacement processes, settles a series of difficulties in installing and disassembling conductor plates,counterweight and insulator body of inverted-V suspension insulator strings on transmission lines, simplifies the operation steps and mitigates the labor strength of operators. This operation method can be disassembled and reassembled, and is also available to other types of suspension insulator strings, which is an emerging lightweight operation method for replacing the entire suspension insulator strings.
