Abstract: The whole process management of power plant equipment defects are analyzed in respect to the classification and causes of defects, defect management system and prevention and control measures, etc., with more attention to the present problems and shortcomings in practical work, and corresponding control measures concerning six aspects are put forward. It is proposed to strengthen routine inspection tour, online monitoring and regular equipment inspection to timely find out and rectify equipment defects, and to prevent defects from evolving into hidden dangers through effective treatment.
