Abstract:
With the increasing proportion of new energy access to the power grid, the power system is undergoing profound changes and faces many new problems. In particular, renewable energy grid connection uncertainty challenges power system modeling. The digital twin technology developed based on the new information technology has a unique advantage in coping with the transformation. It is an important tool for solving problems and developing new power systems. This paper outlines the latest digital twin application in power systems in recent years. Firstly, it analyzes the development trend and research hotspots of digital twin through bibliometric analysis. Based on the research results of different scholars, the common characteristics, implementation architecture, implementation methods, and key enabling technologies of digital twin are summarized. Then, it summarizes the current application status of digital twins in power systems, discusses the specific application of digital twins through Pareto curve and time trend analysis, and analyzes the evaluation criteria of digital twin applications. Finally, the key problems to be solved by digital twins are clarified, and the future development trend of digital twin in power system applications is prospected.
