Abstract:
Considering the long-term radiological risk on the public and environment resulted from
129Ⅰ in airborne effluents from nuclear reprocessing facilities in China, the collection and measurement methods of
129Ⅰ available for the monitoring of radioactivity in airborne effluents are analyzed, China’s regulatory requirements concerning emissions of
129Ⅰ in airborne effluents from nuclear reprocessing facilities are introduced, and suggestions for the monitoring and supervision of
129Ⅰ in airborne effluents from nuclear reprocessing facilities in future are proposed.
