Abstract:
The heat transfer characteristics of superheated steam are critical for the development of the LOCA analysis code. In this work, experimental investigation on heat transfer characteristics of superheated steam in the tube channel during reflooding phase was conducted with Reynolds number ranging from 2.78×103 to 1.84×105. The parameters including wall temperature, mass flow rate, inlet and outlet temperatures of steam were measured experimentally. Based on experimental data, the effects of Reynolds number on heat transfer characteristics of superheated steam were analyzed.The results show that the local heat transfer coefficient and Nusselt number increased with Reynolds number. Besides, the corresponding heat transfer correlations were also obtained in this study.
