Abstract: This paper studies the basic framework and concepts of configuration risk management, focusing on the method and strategy of setting risk threshold in configuration risk management. Based on the investigation and study of the regulatory requirements and practical application of configuration risk management in US nuclear power plants, this paper studies the risk threshold setting method for configuration risk management, including the division of risk areas, the consideration factors of the qualitative risk threshold, especially the main methods of the quantitative risk threshold, risk measurement indicators, and the quantitative risk threshold setting strategy. This paper further discusses the main considerations of risk threshold setting for configuration risk management in nuclear power plants, and gives specific suggestions on risk threshold setting of configuration risk management.
