Abstract:
With the characteristics of medium radiation resistance, low critical risk, good nonproliferation and so on, the dry reprocessing technology is a potential technical choice for spent fuel reprocessing of fast reactor and light water reactor. Engineering scale facilities for dry reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel have been established in United States and Russia respectively, and have been demonstrated by the engineering scale hot test. In this paper, the progress of spent fuel dry reprocessing facilities abroad was summarized. Analysis and comparison were made in many ways, such as background, process, specification, layout, and application. Suggestions for further development of dry reprocessing facility in China were proposed.
