Abstract:
Through the collection and analysis of the cases of boiler water-wall suspension tube, the typical fault forms of water-wall suspension tube are found and analyzed. The common failure mode of water-cooled wall suspension tubes is cracking at variable structure position, followed by wear/blow loss thinning, corrosion thinning and overheating resulting in performance deterioration. The cracking of water-cooled wall suspension tube is most likely to occur near the bottom elbow, at the intersection with the ceiling and at the fillet weld of the container holder, which is related to the stress concentration effect, poor weld quality, uneven bearing capacity of each suspension pipe, and swing in the flow field of the suspension tube
