Abstract: Fiber channel has been widely used in line protection of 220kV and above voltage level due to its advantages of strong anti-electromagnetic interference, low attenuation and high reliability. In the process of practical application, however, fiber channel due to the actual factors, channel alarm frequently occurred, produce a great impact on the safe and stable operation of power grid, based on the 220 kv line with optical differential protection channel analysis abnormal events, simply introduces the circuit and working principle of the fiber channel channel common faults and processing methods.
