Abstract: With the steady progress of China's modernization and the prosperity and development of the economy, the government, society and people's demand for electricity is increasing day by day, which promotes the rapid development of the power industry. However, in the process of power transmission, line loss management is particularly important. If we do not make corresponding improvements, it will seriously affect the transportation of electricity, waste a lot of power resources, not only endanger the economic benefits of power enterprises, but also cause great distress to users. Therefore, we should vigorously develop the power industry at the same time, explore the study of effective ways to reduce line damage, seek scientific management methods, reasonable control of line loss. Based on this, this paper systematically explores the relevant functions of smart meters and collection technology, analyzes its application to line loss management, and achieves the desired results
