Abstract:
Taking "wire ice-shedding jumping is a sudden release of tension caused by metal wire and wire elastic expansion" as a starting point. A new method for calculating the sag and tension of wire induced by ice-shedding is discussed, which is different from the traditional method with finite element analysis. Through computational analysis, it is considered that the amplitude and tension of conductor ice-shedding jumping tends to decrease as the span increases to the isolated span. If the maximum design tension of conductor is the same at different spans, the maximum dynamic tension of conductor increases as the span decrease.
