Abstract: Harmonic and electromagnetic interference, power factor reduction is listed as the three major hazards of the power system. The harmonic pollution of the IF electric furnace at Yili Rolling Mill has seriously affected the power quality of the power system and the safe use of electricity by users. Through the power quality test of the Huidong 1 and 2 distribution lines (Yili Rolling Mill) and the analysis of the test data, it is concluded that the 5th, 7th, 11th, and 13th harmonics are the main causes of power pollution. Using a method of connecting a capacitor bank in series with a 4.5% reactor, an LC filter circuit was constructed, and harmonics were filtered out successfully, which verified the effectiveness of the control measures.
