  • Abstract: Study on Electromagnetic Compatibility of DC Charging Piles Zhong zheng, daifang zhang Beijing Key Laboratory of High Voltage & EMC, North China Electrical Power University, Beijing, 102206, China Abstract: With the continuous popularization of green new energy electric vehicles, charging piles have gradually appeared in the public view. This article mainly studies the electromagnetic compatibility of DC charging pile systems. First of all, starting with the basic working principle of DC charging piles, and then addressing the electromagnetic interference problems of DC charging systems, starting from the causes of electromagnetic interference and restraining measures, finally introduced the current domestic standards and requirements for electromagnetic compatibility of charging piles, which is a DC charging system. The electromagnetic compatibility study provides a good theoretical basis. 1. Research background and significance of electromagnetic compatibility of DC charging pile According to the type of current into the electric car, charging piles can be divided into two categories: AC charging piles and DC charging piles. In order to ensure that the DC charging piles can operate safely in the power grid and do not interfere with the normal operation of other electrical equipment, this requires that the electromagnetic compatibility of DC charging piles must meet certain national standards. 2. DC charging pile working principle At present, DC charging piles mainly include: phase-controlled rectifier charging piles and high-frequency switch rectifier charging piles. The function of the charging point of the electric vehicle is equivalent to a power converter between the power battery and the power grid, and then the power in the power grid is converted into the power battery via a proper way. Its basic working principle is to achieve AC to DC power conversion through a series of changes. 3. Electromagnetic Compatibility of DC Charging Piles Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), is defined as the ability of an electronic or electrical device or system to function properly in the complex electromagnetic environment in which it is located, and it does not produce any unacceptable electromagnetic interference to its environment. . Electromagnetic compatibility includes two aspects: electromagnetic interference (EMI), electromagnetic tolerance (EMS). There are two meanings here: During the actual operation of an electrical device, it is necessary not only to prevent the external environment from affecting it, but also to prevent its interference with the outside world. 4. Charging pile electromagnetic compatibility test In order to ensure the correctness and reliability of electromagnetic compatibility design and scientifically evaluate the electromagnetic compatibility performance of charging piles, it is necessary to verify whether the charging piles complies with electromagnetic compatibility standards and specifications throughout the design process. 5. Conclusion In view of the electromagnetic compatibility problem of DC charging pile systems, this paper mainly introduces the basic working principle of DC charging piles, causes of electromagnetic interference in DC charging systems, and restraint measures. Finally, the current domestic standards and requirements for electromagnetic compatibility of charging piles are introduced. The electromagnetic compatibility study of the charging system provides a good theoretical basis.
