Abstract: With the increasing of renewable energy, such as Photovoltaic (PV) plant, penetration, the stability of power grid is threatened. In this paper, the transmission losses and the voltage sensitivity in PV power plants are analyzed. Then, a voltage regulation strategy of PV plants is proposed through the design of the droop curve of reactive power unit. Finally, simulations results verify the validity of the proposed control strategy.
