Abstract: Under the new business environment, getting electricity sheds light on how essential it is to measure customer connection, which is complicated by supply reliability, procurement practices, application time, technical standards, etc. In an effort to ensure this permanent connection, the paper calls for emphasis on distribution network planning, especially on the selection of voltage grades. Based on the existing grid, studies are carried out for different adjustment plans on customer-side voltage. The combined impacts have been considered from the utility, customers, and the whole society perspectives. Alongside with the technical-economic evaluation, the paper finally proposes an optimal combination of voltage grades in urban grid, promoting a mutually beneficial and win-win situation of entire society.
