Characteristic analysis of peak-valley regulation of Henan Power Grid under Different Wind Power Consumption Situations

  • Abstract: Based on the background of China’s Henan Province power grid eliminate wind power in the province and its outer regions, this paper studied on the peak shaving characteristics of Henan power grid under different wind power consumption situations, which includes wind power plants in different provinces and different regions in one province. By analyzing the output characteristics and typical 24h load characteristics of wind power, the characteristic index system of wind power peak shaving load has been established. The impacts of different indicators on wind power peak shaving have been analyzed. Through the calculation and analysis, the accurate value of wind power peak shaving regulation probability and wind power peak shaving rate could be achieved. In the study of optimal allocation of existing pumped storage power stations, most of the wind power peak shaving rates are considered according to a fixed value. But it failed to analyze the rationality of the fixed value in depth. This paper provides an in-depth analysis of the simplified calculation of wind power peak shaving rate, and then applies it to power and electricity balance. References for calculating the peak-load regulation gap have been provided.
