Abstract: The wave-recording fault indicators widely used in distribution network provide a large amount of raw data.This paper first analyzes the invalid data of the existing transient wave-record fault indicator, a preprocessing method of recorded data based on the characteristics of temporal and spatial distribution of recording start was proposed. Further, based on the statistics of the data, and considering the severity of the fault and the level of distribution automation, the optimal strategy for adaptive trip protection of single-phase earth fault in non-solid earthed network is proposed.
